A wave of low pressure will pass to our south Monday night, impacting our area with periods of snow. As models had a zone of heavy accumulating snow piling up over the Twin Tiers, a Winter Storm Warning was issued for a portion of our area for Monday night into Tuesday morning. However, Sunday came with southward trends in the guidance, shifting the heaviest snow south our region. The shift to the south persisted throughout the day, causing most models to have light snow over our area (1-3''). Some are even showing scenarios where the system completely misses us.

The take-away point is, significant snowfall accumulation is looking less likely from this system for the Twin Tiers. The above map was significantly reduced from yesterday and could still be too high. We will keep you updated on any change on Monday.
