SPRINGFIELD TWP./COLUMBIA CROSSROADS, PA (WENY) -- WENY News has continuing coverage of the three people who were arrested in connection to a murder that happened in Bradford County, Pennsylvania on Friday, March 8th.

On March 12th, law enforcement cleared the scene at a home on Sawyer Rd. in the Springfield Township around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, where Pennsylvania State Police said the victim was murdered on the 8th.

According to court documents, the events spanned more than a day, which started and ended at the home of Ronda Parker, who is charged with criminal homicide.

The victim was identified as Michael Pruitt, Ronda's boyfriend. Police said he was shot to death on March 8th by Terry Parker, who had previously been in a relationship with Ronda.

Court documents allege Terry Parker traveled from his home in Harrisburg, to Ronda Parker's home to kill Pruitt. They're then accused of putting Pruitt's body in the trunk of Terry's car and going back to Harrisburg. In an interview with Pennsylvania State Police, Ronda Parker told troopers she and Terry Parker had intended to dump the body in a swimming hole. She said Terry Parker had instructed her to Google swimming holes while they were traveling to Harrisburg; Ronda said she did not want to do the searches on her phone, but used Terry's phone. She told police they eventually decided it was a bad idea.

They returned to Ronda's house the next day, along with Terry's girlfriend, Summer Heil. PSP said that's when Terry Parker and Heil got Pruitt out of the trunk and dismembered his body before putting it in a wheelbarrow and dumping it in a burn pit, and lighting it on fire.

After police said they were tipped off to disturbing text messages sent by Ronda Parker on Monday, March 11th, they arrested the three suspects. Ronda and Terry Parker are both charged with criminal homicide. Heil as well as Ronda and Terry are all charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.

The Bradford County District Attorney said authorities have been working hard investigating every aspect of the case.

"What I'm able to say at this point is, there's been a tireless investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police. They've done a tremendous amount of work. I was fortunate enough to be involved with it in the very beginning. The defendants [who] are in custody are innocent until proven guilty and they will have a preliminary hearing scheduled in the very near future," said Bradford County D.A., Richard Wilson.

Terry Parker, Ronda Parker, and Summer Heil were arraigned in District Court in Troy at 3 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12th. They're expected back in court on March 27th at 2 p.m.

The three are in the Bradford County Jail without bail as of March 12th.
