HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) -- Meet Radar, WENY’s Pet of the Week from the Horseheads Community Animal Shelter!  

Radar is a one-year-old Australian cattle dog mix. He came to the shelter underweight, but has since then, put on some healthy weight. Radar is fixed and is up-to-date on all shots.

"He's a real good boy as well. He does really good with training. He loves to learn, so someone that could really keep him engaged would be great," said Mojave Moffett from the Horseheads Community Animal Shelter.

Radar would do best with an active family, as he needs walks or runs to help him expel energy. He does get along with other dogs, but cats are not recommended to be around him.

Right now, the shelter is looking for help obtaining canned dog food, and cat treats.
