ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- Since learning of the news that Chemung County Sheriff's Investigator Michael Theetge was critically injured in the line of duty on March 29th, local businesses and organizations have wasted no time in finding ways to support Theetge and his family.

Several local businesses and organizations have started donation drives or fundraisers, in support of Michael Theetge, his wife and two children. Here are a list of known events at this time. More will be added as WENY News learns of them.

Please note: Chemung County Sheriff Bill Sheriff Schrom did ask that any people, businesses or corporations that wish to drop off a donation, to do so directly at the Sheriff's Office, or by making arrangements with the department to have them picked up. Anyone wishing to donate can contact the Sheriff's Office at 607-737-2950, or 607-737-2987. All donations are being turned over to the Chemung County Deputy Sheriff's Association, which is giving them directly to the family. 

- Finger Lakes Sign & Design is selling printed t-shirts, long sleeved shirts and hoodies. For every shirt purchase, $10 will go to Theetge. To order, click here: https://chemung-county-sheriff-theetge.itemorder.com/shop/home/ . Orders must be placed by Sunday, April 14th.

- JB Lawn Care & Landscaping - 10% of proceeds from each service booking will be donated to Investigator Theetge and his family.  Phone: 607-333-6050

- S&K Tactical at 2082 College Avenue in Elmira Heights will donate the proceeds from each bag of Fire Department Coffee sold to the Theetge family. 

- On April 12th, local Dunkin Donuts locations will donate $1 from the sale of each special donuts to Investigator Theetge and his family. The Bapa Network will be matching all donation amounts up to $5,000. 

- Tag's Restaurant at 3037 State Route 352 in Big Flats is hosting a Sunday Breakfast Buffet from 9AM - 12PM. $15 all you can eat; all proceeds go to Investigator Theetge and his family. 

 

- The Shoppes at Oldies But Goodies in Big Flats is selling $5 raffle tickets for raffle baskets. Proceeds will benefit Inv. Theetge and his family. 

- K 9/10 Pet Grooming at 104 West 14th Street in Elmira Heights will be collecting donations at its upcoming ears and nails event on Saturday, April 27th, from 9AM - 11AM. $15 cash donations are requested; more is appreciated. 

- The Ithaca Police Benevolent Association, along with the Brooktondale Volunteer Fire Company are partnering to host a breakfast on Sunday, April 28th from 8AM - 11AM. Proceeds will be donated to the Theetge family. 786 Valley Road, Brooktondale, NY
