A pattern of warmer conditions and more rain is set to take over throughout the Northeast US starting today. A warm front will push in a few rounds of showers throughout the day. The showers begin in the morning and continue off and on into the afternoon hours.

Temperatures rapidly climb closer to the 80s for Sunday, but the added moisture and heat will create an unstable environment allowing for scattered thunderstorms to pop up during the daytime. Heat sticks around going into Monday with more showers popping up late in the day.

More scattered thunderstorms are expected to show up into Tuesday, as temperatures remain close to 80 degrees at the warmest time of the day. A break in the rain comes around for Wednesday more isolated bouts of rain and thunder return for Thursday.
