ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- A celebration of all things pop culture returns to the City of Elmira Saturday. The 2nd annual Steele Pop Expo is happening at the Steele Memorial Library from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will feature games, comic books, art and a variety of local vendors. According to the expo's webpage, Checkpoint Gaming Lounge, The Game Shoppe in Corning and 501st Legion & Droid Builders are among some of the vendors attending.

Events happening at the pop expo include a cosplay contest, a workshop showing how comic books are created, a comic book lettering demonstration and a learn to play Pokemon demonstration.

Reilly Brown, a comic book writer and artist well known for his work on Deadpool, Amazing Spider-Man, and Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point, will also be in attendance at the event. He will be there to talk to attendees and sign comic books. The Steele Pop Expo will also have an Archie comic with an exclusive variant cover illustrated by Brown, while supplies last.

Food trucks will also be available at the expo, including Taste of Jamaica and That Place Mobile Munchies.

The event is free and open to all interested.
