Periods of rain showers could possibly be accompanied by a few rumbles of thunder later in the day. Consistent cloud cover keeps temperatures in the low 70s with lows falling back down into the mid 50s post-sunset. A few more light showers could fall late but would likely remain sporadic and brief in nature.

The rest of the weekend and the start of next week is set for a fairly consistent warmup with plenty of sunshine and hot, summer-like conditions. Highs climb close to 80 on Sunday before exceeding 80 on Monday and Tuesday, with the latter potentially seeing highs come close to 90 degrees in a few locations.

We stay in the high 80s for Wednesday, and the added humidity could create an unstable environment, allowing for thunderstorms to develop across the region. A few more pop-up thundershowers come around Thursday but highs look to stick to the upper 70s.
