ITHACA, NY (WENY) -- The Ithaca Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a suspect allegedly involved in a reported shooting.

According to IPD, around 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, May 19th, they responded to a report of shots fired on the 100 block of North Aurora Street.

When authorities arrived on scene, witnesses said a person who was on foot shot at a white Jeep Cherokee multiple times. IPD said no one was hurt.

Police said both the shooter and the vehicle fled the area before law enforcement arrived on scene. IPD said they found evidence that a shooting took place.
