Parts of Steuben County now in the new 24th Congressional District

STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Steuben Board of Elections announced on Thursday, June 6th that seven towns in Steuben County will no longer be in the 23rd Congressional District. Instead, Avoca, Cohocton, Dansville, Prattsburgh, Pulteney, Wayland and Wheeler, are all now part of the new 24th District.
That means registered Republicans in those towns will be eligible to vote in the in the June 25th Republican Primary for the district's GOP nominee for Congress. Voters will have a choice between Claudia Tenney and Mario Fratto.
Registered Republicans in Bath will also have an option to vote for the republican nominee for Town Clerk, choosing between Terra Thorpe and Tara Muller. The Town of Wheeler has a republican primary for Town Council, with Heather Trenchard and Jonathan Cole the options, and Highway Superintendent, which has Douglas Towner and Richard Decker as the choices.
“You must be a registered Republican, residing in one of these voting districts to be eligible to vote in the
June Primary Election,” the said the Steuben County Board of Election Commissioners in a joint statement.
Early Voting for the towns having a primary will take place between June 15th and 23rd at the Steuben County
