    Bath, NY (WENY) -- Family members of Cory Hunt were outside the Steuben County Jail this afternoon to protest the fact that the District Attorney will  not reopen their case, and they say that their goal is to bring Cory Justice. Cory Hunt was found dead in the Westbound lane of State Route 417 in September of 2014.

    NICHOLS, NY (WENY) - The New York State Department of Transportation says a stretch of Route 17 currently closed in Tioga County will remain that way until around Labor Day. Route 17 between exits 62 and 63 was closed on Monday due to damage to a bridge over Wappasening Creek in Nichols. The bridge was damaged following a powerful storm Sunday night into Monday. NYSDOT says the bridge should be fixed and reopened around Labor Day (September 4th).  A detour is currently in place.

Laura Rideout, her sons Colin and Alexander, and her boyfriend Paul Tucci were all accused of killing the Rochester-area man and dumping his body in Penn Yan last summer. The manufacturer was supposed to ship the new part in early July, but now it will not be shipped until the end of the month. All existing programs at the pool will be moved to the Stewart Park Pool for the rest of the summer.

    ROCHESTER, NY (WENY) - The New York State Trooper injured in a serious accident in May has been released from the hospital. Trooper Craig Foglia spent seven weeks at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after the accident on I-86 in Campbell. He was conducting a traffic stop and was in his cruiser when it was hit from behind by a pick-up truck. State Police said Foglia is a 14-year veteran of the state police.

The festival started on Friday and carried into mid-afternoon on Sunday.
